About M.A. Broughton
Electrical Contractors LTD
We are one of the East Midlands leading electrical and building maintenance service provider.
As a privately owned and financed family business, Broughton Electrical provides a personal approach to the management, operation and delivery of our client's project requirements. Established in 1986 by Managing Director Mark Broughton, the company has a well-earned reputation within the construction industry as being a leading supplier of electrical installations to new build projects across the East & West Midlands, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire for some of the country's largest and best known construction companies.
The company was founded as a direct response to the needs of a growing house building market in the late 1980s, as an experienced electrician, Mark, was presented with an opportunity to take on two new build sites for one of the country's major house builder, an opportunity which set the foundations for one of the midlands biggest electrical contractors – M. A. Broughton Electrical Contractors Ltd. Although the company has entered new fields of business throughout its group of specialist division, our heritage still remains within the electrical contracting sector.
We have ongoing contracts installing electrical installations into new build properties on sites with as little as 4 houses, to developments with in excess of 900, we also provide electrical installations services to industrial and commercial projects, apartment blocks, shops and community developments. The majority of our work is from existing clients, on a repeat, preferred supplier basis, which we have built up through long standing relationships.
From our headquarters, just off M1 junction 26 in Langley Mill, Nottinghamshire, we employ in excesses of 60 operatives, ranging from trained electricians to building and construction operatives. Year on year, we invest heavily in training and development and boast an in house, thirty seat training facility where we conduct regular team safety briefings, toolbox talks, electrical, safety and CSCS training through the JIB and our external consultants.
To implement and deliver the services to our clients, we operate a fleet of 50+ modern vehicles which average an age of less than 2 years. We continually invest in new plant and equipment to help improve our in – house core competence to our customers contracts, ensuring we have the right tool for the job, even at short notice.
